As the demand for Management System Certification and our professional network are increasing, it is important for us to build a reputation that brings value to management system certification, so companies can meet customer expectations, as well as applicable regulatory requirements.
For 2016, as we are establishing our Management System Certification program, we have decided that the minimal requirement for someone to perform a PECB Management System audit is to hold the equivalent Certified ISO Lead Auditor credential.
However, starting from January 1, 2017, all professionals who want to perform Accredited Management System Audits for PECB will need to hold a formal certification as a PECB Certified Management System Auditor. In order to achieve this credential, all PECB Certified MS Auditors will need to successfully pass the Advanced Audit Techniques exam, which is a requirement to obtain the formal certification. The goal of requiring this additional certification is to make sure that PECB MS Auditors not only meet minimal requirements, but also exceed them.
In order to help you achieve this credential, we are organizing the next Partner Event in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 27 to July 01, 2016, where we will launch the Advanced Audit Techniques training course.
This five-day intensive course will empower participants to develop the necessary expertise to apply widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques. During this training, participants will acquire the necessary knowledge to proficiently plan and perform audits in compliance with best known practices, including ISO 19011 and ISO 17011. This course will be followed with the exam on the last day (Friday).
The PECB Certified MS Auditor certification will be the benchmark for management system auditors which designate that a PECB Certified Auditor:
- has met the required standards of training and exam;
- has the required level of technical, work and audit experience;
- is committed to work with professional standards and requirements set by the PECB Code of Ethics;
- is using industry best practices and performing continuous development to keep up-to-date with developments and requirements.
